Our team at Sunrise Vista Health and Wellness is forward–thinking and provides care for behavioral health. We serve the residents of northeastern and southeastern Ohio. Our focus is on offering behavioral health treatment programs that will set you up for lifelong success. Our programs are for adults and older adult patients. Levels Of Care

We offer acute inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient in our adult and older adult units.

Treatment Modalities

Our treatment modalities include individual therapy, group therapy and recreational therapy. We implement treatment plans based on evidence based care specific to each patients needs.

What Is Special About Sunrise?

Each room is designed to bring tranquility and peace to every patient. We have found that creating a calm environment helps a person feel safe and secure during treatment. We also have an outdoor courtyard to make the most of fresh air. A gymnasium provides the space needed for exercise. Lastly, the food is prepared by a chef to please the palate.

I was sent here due to anxiety that made it impossible to function. I suffer from multiple mental health issues. During my time here, I met great people on the staff and other patients going through similar issues, and the doctors were able to find a combination of meds to bring my anxiety under control. I then did an intensive outpatient program for 4 or 5 weeks at this place as well. It gave me valuable tools and resources to better understand my anxiety and ways to get it under control in the future. I highly recommend this place for all of your mental and behavioral health needs.

Therapy will be a huge part of restoring your peace of mind throughout your healing process. We focus on providing each of our clients with a consistent delivery of care, which includes both group psychotherapy and individual daily therapy.

Psychiatric Assessment

Your loved one will be assessed by a psychiatrist that specializes in understanding the treatment needs of our senior population. Current emotional, functional and medication needs will be evaluated and addressed during the inpatient stay.

Medication Management

Our medical staff includes both psychiatry and internal medicine providers with older adult specialty training. They work together to provide for the physical and behavioral needs of your loved one. After conducting a comprehensive assessment, the best medication to treat the presenting symptoms will be prescribed. Education and monitoring related to medications is provided by our providers, on site pharmacist and nurses.

Partial Hospitalization Program

Our partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) provide daylong treatment for those who do not require 24-hour inpatient or residential care supervision but continue to be in need of a highly structured treatment setting to make progress on their therapeutic needs.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a gentle step down from PHP for individuals who do not need the frequency of therapy or structure offered in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). IOP participants learn to improve their communication skills, learn to support peers, learn from others’ experiences, socialize without unhealthy habits, and learn the benefits of structure and productive socialization.

Individualized Treatment Plan

Our team will work with you and your loved one to establish a plan of care that is both comprehensive and effective. We do this on a one-on-one basis, as well as in a treatment team setting. After our initial assessment, we will establish both short and long term goals that support both the ongoing behavioral health needs and the individual patient and family preferences and goals. Please ask to speak to a Care Coordinator to schedule time to meet with the treatment team.
